Child Safety Standards
Last updated: August 2, 2026
PetsMate ("PetsMate," "we," "us," or "our") maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form. This policy explains what we prohibit, how we respond, and how to report a concern.
Our Policy
PetsMate strictly prohibits any content or behavior that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers children, including but not limited to:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form, real or simulated
- Grooming or any attempt to build a relationship with a minor for the purpose of sexual abuse or exploitation
- Sextortion or coercion of a minor
- Trafficking or facilitation of child exploitation
- Sexualization of minors in images, video, text, or any other content
- Solicitation of sexual content from, or the sharing of sexual content with, a minor
This applies across every part of the PetsMate app — posts, comments, profiles, direct messages, and any other feature that allows users to share content or communicate.
Reporting a Concern
If you see content or behavior on PetsMate that violates this policy, please report it immediately using one of the following methods:
- In-app reporting: Use the "Report" option available on posts, comments, and user profiles to flag content directly within the app.
- Support ticket: Open a ticket from Support → Support Tickets within the app.
- Email: Contact us directly at [email protected]
Please include as much detail as possible (usernames, links, screenshots, timestamps) to help us investigate quickly. You do not need to create an account or leave the app to report a concern.
Our Response
Every report involving suspected CSAE is treated as a priority. When we receive a report or otherwise become aware of a violation, we will:
- Review the reported content or account without delay.
- Remove any content that violates this policy and take action against the responsible account, up to and including a permanent ban.
- Preserve relevant records as required by law.
- Report confirmed CSAM to the appropriate authorities and organizations, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and Indian law enforcement, in accordance with applicable law.
- Cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations related to child safety.
Legal Compliance
PetsMate complies with applicable child protection laws, including the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the Information Technology Act, as well as international standards such as Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy.
